MBA Fellowship Program
(Revised September 2008)

Terms & Conditions

  • Fellowship students must apply and be accepted for a fellowship prior to graduation from the residential program. Furthermore they must maintain continuous enrollment from undergraduate coursework through completion of the graduate degree. For example, students who graduate in May must begin graduate coursework no later than the following fall.
  • Fellowship students may enroll in one MBA class each eight-week session, up to a maximum of three MBA classes during their senior year. Fellowship students may not take MBA classes prior to their senior year.
  • Students accepted into the MBA program must remain continuously enrolled in graduate coursework.  If a student withdraws from the MBA program at any time, she will be disqualified from the fellowship program. However, she may continue at her own expense at the current graduate tuition rate.
  • The program must be completed within 24 months from the date of graduation from Stephens' residential program.
  • Foundation courses must be completed by the start date of the MBA fellowship, and preferably prior to graduation from Stephens College.
  • Students are required to have an on-campus component to the MBA degree. In most situations, students must take blended MBA courses rather than online courses whenever possible. Blended courses include 2 course meetings each 8-week session, with the remainder of the course delivered online. Students must also attend a two-day on-campus seminar during BUS695: Advanced Strategic Project. For more specific guidelines visit the Graduate & Continuing Studies (GCS) Web site at http://www.stephens.edu/gcs/new/mbaprogram/index.php
  • The fellowship only covers graduate tuition to take MBA courses once. NOT included in the fellowship are:
    • Tuition for foundation courses
    • Tuition to retake a class
    • Books
    • Student fees
    • Parking permits for on-campus
    • Any other personal or educational expenses associated with the MBA program
  • MBA fellowship students must work a total of 300 hours at an assigned position at the College during their fellowship.
    • Work assignments will be determined by GCS prior to the beginning of the fellowship.
    • If a student has completed her work assignment and leaves Stephens College prior to completion of the MBA degree, the student is not eligible for retroactive compensation for hours worked during the fellowship.
    • A student may not receive academic credit for her fellowship work assignment.
