Provisional Acceptance

Applicants may be accepted on a provisional basis if approved by the Division of Graduate & Continuing Studies. Provisional acceptance allows students to enroll in classes for one semester. Students accepted on a provisional basis may not enroll for the next semester until their file is complete and they are officially accepted.

Transfer Credit

Graduate students may transfer a maximum of nine semester hours of graduate credit to their Stephens College master's degree program. These graduate credits can be earned prior to admission to Stephens College or upon approval of the graduate program director after admission to Stephens College. The total amount of graduate transfer credit cannot exceed nine semester hours without permission from the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Period of Deferral

Students may have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from beginning the semester for which they applied.  Students may defer an offer of admission for one calendar year, after which they must reapply for admission.
