Graduate Catalog 2005-2006 Graduate & Continuing Studies Stephens College has a long history of adapting its programs to meet the needs of students seeking to fulfill their educational goals. Since 1833, the College has developed many innovative programs in women's residential education and coeducational continuing education. Stephens is now introducing to women and men a select number of graduate program offerings that meet demonstrated needs in the professions and that correspond to the College's academic strengths. Our graduate programs are designed primarily for non-traditional students currently active in professional careers. The faculty maintains graduate programs with the aid of professional advisory groups so that program content will reflect both current theory and real-world application. Courses are taught by highly qualified Stephens faculty and by selected professional adjunct faculty. Building upon the base of quality in the undergraduate curriculum, Stephens faculty bring to the classroom a strong commitment to teaching. They are active teachers and contributors in their disciplines.
