Changes governing the health care industry are increasing the demand for qualified health information and information systems management professionals.
The MBA with
a Clinical Information Systems Management (CISM) emphasis is designed
for those who are pursuing leadership positions in health care administration.
CISM graduates are uniquely qualified to assume top-level jobs in a
variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities,
educational institutions, consulting firms, as well as other health-related
organizations.
Program Requirements
The MBA in Clinical Information Systems Management requires completion of nine core courses and a nine-hour emphasis course (BUS 695: Advanced Strategic Project). The emphasis course includes a combination of online coursework, professional practice and an on-campus seminar (approximately two and a half days).
Application and Admission
Students
may apply for admission at any time
during the year. Upon acceptance, students may enroll in classes
for the next scheduled sesssion.
