Master of Business Administration

Application Requirements

All prospective students must submit the following:

• Online graduate application
• $40 application fee
• Official copies of all college transcripts
• Three letters of recommendation
• A 300-500 word Statement of Purpose
• Current resume 
• TOEFL score, if English is not the first language

For the customized emphasis, entry requirements include a bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. 

For the clinical information systems management (CISM) emphasis, entry requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree and RHIA designation OR
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Administration/Management
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work

Students who do not have an undergraduate degree in business administration may be required to complete foundation courses or may be admitted on a provisional basis. 

Entrance exams such as the GMAT and GRE are not required for admission.

Admission Decisions

Applications are accepted throughout the year and are reviewed by the MBA Program Selection Committee.  Admission decisions are based on:

• Cumulative undergraduate GPA (3.0 or above)

•  References

• Statement of Purpose

• Personal and/or telephone interview

Transfer Credit

Up to nine hours of graduate transfer credit may be awarded for either program. Students who have already earned an advanced degree and wish to pursue an MBA may transfer up to 18 hours of credit. Please see the Graduate Catalog for more information.
