About the Coach: Rose Obunaga
Rose Obunaga, a member of the Kenyan National Volleyball team who participated in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, is the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director for Stephens' Athletics Programs. She previously served as the head volleyball coach at H2 St. Louis Volleyball Club 17s Cardinal.
Obunaga left her native Kenya to play volleyball for Missouri State University-West Plains, where in the 2002 season she recorded 52 kills and led the Grizzlies in blocks and digs. She went on to play for Columbia College and also served as student assistant volleyball coach while earning her B.A. in Business Administration in May 2006. She also served as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at the University of Evansville, where she received an M.S. in Public Service Administration in May 2011. She has also volunteered as a coach at Washington University.
