The swim team's focus is on individual improvement as well as team victories. Each year, there is a wide range of ability levels, but all swimmers tend to improve by season's end. Practices are geared toward specialty training and include dryland training for core body work and strength improvement. Plyometrics, stretch cords and weights are incorporated.
2006 marked the first year Stephens was
eligible to compete at NAIA Nationals and we
were successful in sending 4 swimmers to the championship meet.
As our contingent of scholarship athletes grows, we expect to continue
to field a solid team in upcoming years.

"The swim team at Stephens is definitely unique. We all work hard, but we also know how to let loose. We are more one big family than a team. This past year, it was cool to represent Stephens at a national level and break some records along the way.”
