STEPHENS STARS SIGN Lauren holman
AS NAIA SWIMMING RECRUIT FOR 2007-2008

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Lauren Holman, a senior at Hickman High School in Columbia, for the 2007-2008 swimming season. Holman, who will compete in the backstroke, IM and distance-free events, signed her letter of intent on May 21, 2007. Stephens also offers National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports teams in basketball, cross country, softball, tennis and volleyball.

Holman plans to major in Mass Media with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. She was crowned the 2007 prom queen at Hickman earlier this spring.

Senior State Championship Swimming Results:

  • anchor, 400-yard free relay, 13th place
  • 200 medley relay, 26th place
  • 500 freestyle, 29th place
“I expect Lauren to excel academically in addition to helping us improve our national team that placed 14th at the 2007 NAIA National Championships,” says Laura Wacker, Stephens College head swimming coach.
