COLUMBIA
, Mo. - Stephens College announces the signing of Maddie Marshall,
a junior transfer student from the University of Colorado , Boulder
, for the 2006-2007 softball season. An outfielder who plans to
major in Digital Filmmaking at Stephens, Marshall will sign at 4

While attending Lafayette High School in St. Louis , Marshall attended several summer softball camps including the 1999 UCLA Softball Camp. The highlight of her high school career was helping lead her Lafayette High Lady Lancers to a 2001 Missouri State Softball Championship.
"There are many benefits to having a player like Maddie on our inaugural team. She brings a wealth of softball knowledge and experience to a young team. Her overall athleticism will make her a versatile player, and her maturity on and off the field will be tremendously valuable," says Chris Collier, Stephens College head softball coach. "Maddie Marshall is a great addition to our program and she will help make Stephens Softball a success."
