STEPHENS STARS SIGN KRISTI RACKERS AS NAIA SOFTBALL RECRUIT FOR 2006-2007

 

PlayersCOLUMBIA , Mo. - Stephens College announces the signing of Kristi Rackers, a graduate of Helias High School in Jefferson City , Mo. Rackers, a catcher, signed Thursday along with three other players; Bonnie Craighead, Erika Tournear and Monica Massey for the 2006-2007 softball season. The upcoming season will mark the return of softball to the College. Cross country will also be added to the College's NAIA sports teams in volleyball, basketball, swimming and tennis.

"I can tell from talking to Kristi she will be the type of player who is willing to do the little things to win," says Chris Collier, Stephens College head softball coach. "I believe she will play without fear, and will bring an intensity to our team to keep us fired up for every pitch."
