STEPHENS STARS SIGN LINDSEY EVANS AS NAIA CROSS COUNTRY RECRUIT FOR 2007-2008
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Lindsey Evans, a senior at South Callaway High School in Mokane, Mo., for the 2007-2008 cross country season. Evans will sign her letter of intent at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at South Callaway H.S. Evans becomes the first signee for the Stephens cross country program, which began in Fall 2006. Stephens also offers NAIA sports teams in basketball, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball.
“Lindsey brings a great deal of high-level experience from her participation on the South Callaway High School team,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head cross country coach. She will be a strong runner for us in the next four years.”
Awards and accomplishments:
- Most Improved Runner, 2004
- Most Improved Season-to-Season Runner, 2005
- Most Valuable Player, 2005 and 2006
- Team Captain, 2006
- All District, 2004 and 2005
- State Qualifier, 2004 and 2005
- Team District Champs, Girls 2005 (came in 4th individually)
- All Conference, 2006
