Stephens college signs madelyn hereford as naia cross country recruit for 2009
COLUMBIA , Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Madelyn Hereford, a senior at Mountain Brook High School in Mountain Brook, Alabama, for the 2009 season. Hereford signed her letter of intent early May in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
Hereford earned the following awards during her high school career:
High School Honors and Awards:
- Husky Challenge Runner of the Meet
- Coach's Cross Country Award
- Team won the Alabama 6A State Championship all four years

- Personal Record: 22:18 (5K) at the Jesse Owens Classic, Moulton, Alabama
- Personal Record: 2:40.86 (800m)
“Madelyn has the potential to have an outstanding career at Stephens,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head cross country coach and Associate Athletic Director. “She is a dedicated runner who has the desire to continue to improve her times and ability. She is a quality addition to the Stephens College cross country team.”
Stephens offers National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports teams in basketball, cross country, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball. The College began play in the American Midwest Conference in Fall 2008.
