COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Elizabeth Hughes, a senior at Hickman High School in Columbia, for the 2007-2008 cross country season. Hughes will sign her letter of intent at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Hickman. Hughes’ career best times are 22:13 in the 5K, 6:19 in the 1 Mile and 2:46 in the 800 Meters. Stephens also offers NAIA sports teams in basketball, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball.

“Elizabeth is a quality runner who competes very well in a variety of distances,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head cross country coach. “She is a hard worker who has a great deal of potential for our program at Stephens.”
