Stephens stars sign Breanna mclaughlin as naia volleyball and basketball recruit for 2009
COLUMBIA , Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Bre McLaughlin, a senior at Hazelwood Central High School in Florissant, Mo, for the 2009-2010 seasons. McLaughlin signed her letter of intent on April 22, 2009, at Hazelwood Central High School. McLaughlin earned the following awards during her high school career:
High School Volleyball Honors and Awards:
- Kylene Bronder Rookie of the Year (2007)
- Honorable Mention All Suburban North Conference (2007)
- Second Team All Suburban North Conference (2008)
- Best Offensive Player (2007-2008)
- All Academic Award (2007-2008)
High School Basketball Statistics (2008-2009):
- 9.7 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 2.5 steals per game, 1.2 assists per game
High School Basketball Honors and Awards:
- Honorable Mention All Suburban North Conference (2006-2007)
- First Team All Suburban North Conference (2007-2009)

“Bre is a tremendous student-athlete,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head basketball coach and associate athletic director. “She has a great deal of experience at a very high level, and that will translate well to her time here at Stephens. She has the potential to be an anchor for both the volleyball and basketball teams for years to come.”
Stephens offers National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports teams in basketball, cross country, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball. The College began play in the American Midwest Conference in Fall 2008.
