STEPHENS STARS SIGN CASEY MARTIN AS NAIA TWO-SPORT RECRUIT FOR 2007-2008
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Casey Martin, a senior at Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, Tenn., for the 2007-2008 academic year. Martin will sign her letter of intent to play basketball and softball at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2007, at Frank Hughes H.S. Martin will compete as a guard and an outfielder in basketball and softball, respectively. She received the 2005-2006 Golden Glove Award for her junior year of softball play.
“Casey has a strong desire to continue her basketball career,” said Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head basketball coach. “She is a hard worker who has developed her game in high school.”
Basketball Senior Statistics:
- Points per game: 7.0
- Rebounds per game: 2.2
- Steals per game: 1.2
“Casey will be the type of young lady who gives her very best in every situation,” said Chris Collier, head softball coach. “With good speed, a confident glove and a strong work ethic, I know she will make a positive impact on our team over the next four years.”

- Fielding Percentage: 1.000
