STEPHENS STARS SIGN ALYSSA ELLIOTT AS NAIA BASKETBALL RECRUIT FOR 2007-2008
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Alyssa Elliott, a senior at Tipton High School in Tipton, Mo., for the 2007-2008 basketball season. Elliott, a 5’7” guard, will sign her letter of intent at 11:30 a.m. today, Thursday, May 10, 2007. Stephens also offers National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports teams in cross country, softball, swimming, tennis and volleyball.
High School Honors:
- All District (senior year)
- 3rd in Mid-Missouri Conference in three-pointers made
- 6th in Mid-Missouri Conference in scoring
Statistics (per game):
- 9.2 points
- 1.7 rebounds
- 1.1 assists
- 2.0 steals
“Alyssa is a very mature student-athlete who has a very good attitude and work ethic,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head basketball coach. “She has the ability to play both guard spots and she will be an asset to Stephens both academically and athletically.”
