STEPHENS STARS SIGN ANDIE YOUNG AS 2008-2009 NAIA BASKETBALL/SOFTBALL RECRUIT
COLUMBIA , Mo. – Stephens College announces the signing of Andie Young, a senior at Bosworth High School in Bosworth, Mo., for the 2008-2009 seasons. Young, a 5'8” guard and shortstop/pitcher, signed her letter of intent on May 12, 2008.
Senior Basketball Honors and Awards:

- CLAA All-Conference Team
- CLAA All-Defensive Team
- All-District Honoree

- Lion's Club Game Participant
Senior Year Basketball Statistics:
- 20.25 points per game (1,457 career points)
- Single game high (points): 46 vs. Tina-Avalon in district semi-finals
- Free throw percentage: 77.78%
- Rebounds per game: 10.62
- Steals per game: 4.0
Senior Softball Honors and Award:
- CLAA All-Conference Team
- All-District Honoree
Senior Year Softball Statistics:
- Batting average: .382
- On base percentage: .637
“Andie has a tremendous amount of potential as a student and an athlete,” says Dane Pavlovich, Stephens College head basketball coach and associate athletic director. “She possesses a great deal of athleticism and versatility that has enabled her to achieve numerous accomplishments on the court and the diamond. She had an outstanding academic and athletic career at Bosworth, and I feel that she has the ability to have the same success at Stephens.”
