Volleyball Stars Sign Players for 2012 Season
Stephens College announces the signings of the following student-athletes for the 2012 Volleyball season:
Emily Manczuk, a senior at Odessa High School in Odessa, Mo., will be the Stephens Stars’ new Defensive Specialist/Libero. She plans to major in Biology at Stephens College. She also has played in the Heart of America Conference for Nova, Boost and Titan Juniors volleyball clubs. She has been named to the Second Team All-District, Second Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All-Region, Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State. She accumulated a team most 278 digs. She has assisted with youth volleyball camps, volunteered as a coach and coordinated the Cole Steelman Volleyball Tournament.
Madison Reale, a senior at Parkway West High School in Alton, Mo., is an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist. She plans to major in Legal Studies at Stephens College. She was selected to All-Conference and All-District teams during her years of high school play. In 2011, she was the captain of the Longhorns Parkway West Volleyball team and was named the Most Valuable Player. She has helped coach the Longhorn volleyball camps. She also played, and was captain, in the gateway region for Momentum, Elite Saint Louis and Rockwood volleyball clubs.
Jenna Zmyslony, a transfer student from Hibbing Community College in Hibbing, Minn., is an Outside, Right-side and Middle Hitter. She plans to major in Creative Writing at Stephens College. She was MCAC All-North Division and All-State her freshmen and sophomore years. As a sophomore, she was team captain and was named NCAA All-Region XIII. During her two seasons of play, Zmyslony received Conference Player of the Week honors four times. In basketball, she was MCAC All-North Division both years.
