Stephens Athletics
As a women's college, Stephens inherently recognizes and celebrates the skills and talents of its female scholar-athletes. Stephens became a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in April 2004 and began American Midwest Conference (AMC) play in Fall 2008. The College previously was a member of NCAA Division III since 1994. Through our sports programs, we provide opportunities for women to challenge themselves physically, to experience teamwork in action and to simply enjoy the sport. We are committed to the philosophy of developing scholar-athletes whose first priority is education. If you're interested in joining one of our teams, please fill out a QUESTIONNAIRE. A limited number of intramural activities are available through various campus organizations.

Meet Stephens Athletes
Jennifer (Jenn) Shaw ‘07 "The swim team at Stephens is definitely unique. We all work hard, but we also know how to let loose. We are more one big family than a team. This past year, it was cool to represent Stephens at a national level and break some records along the way.” Bonnie Craighead ‘09 "For me, being able to play sports at Stephens is the icing on the cake. I'm at my first-choice school studying what I love and continuing my athletic career. I couldn't ask for a better school or better opportunities to fit my needs as a student and athlete." "Stephens has become a place very dear to my heart, so to be able to be part of the Stephens softball program is very exciting for me. Softball is something I have always been very passionate about. I hope we can make a good name for our team and start some lasting traditions along the way. |
