- Peru, Machu Picchu (with extension to the Amazon at Ceibu tops)
October 2-13, 2013
Peru, the land of the Incas with Machu Picchu and three nights in Cusco with its well-preserved Incan monuments, Trujillo to visit Chan Chan, the largest pre-Columbian mud city in the Americas, and the Lord of Sipan at Chiclayo, a renowned royal burial site dating to the 2nd century. Kathleen Fung, founder of Far Fung Places, leads this fascinating historical journey. To encourage Stephens College alumnae to travel with us, Far Fung Places has selected the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel in lieu of the luxury Sanctuary Resort for our overnight visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Machu Picchu Pueblo hotel is an intimate deluxe cottage hotel on a 12 acre mountain reserve at the foot of the Machu Picchu mountain.
We heard from many alumnae that they wanted to stay at the luxury Sanctuary Lodge just minutes away from the Machu Picchu, so we are now offering this exclusive hotel as an option. So far everyone who has booked the trip has selected this special property. But, there's even more reason to book now. Working in cooperation with our Peruvian operator, we are extending a special offer of $450 per person discount for booking prior to February 2013. Land price for the Peru trip is: $5743 per person, double occupancy for program with the luxury Sanctuary; or land price, $5349 per person, double occupancy with superior class Pueblo Lodge Machu Picchu. Regional and international fares are extra: $1200 approximately. Due to advanced bookings, we only have space for two more doubles on this program featuring the Sanctuary. Kathleen joins the Amazon extension if the group reaches seven participants. Double your donation of $150 to Stephens College by booking this tour. Far Fung Places will match your donation by extending a $150 discount to the program price. If you take advantage of the matching donation, the only other discount Far Fung Places will provide is the early booking discount of $450.
