The First Step in the Loan Process
To apply for a subsidized or unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can complete the FAFSA online or you can obtain a paper copy from your high school counselor, the Financial Aid Office, or by calling (800) 4FEDAID. What's next?
The Financial Aid Office will determine your eligibility for student loans once you have submitted your FAFSA. You will be notified of the type and amount of aid you are eligible to receive. Once you have received your award notice, follow the following Steps to Apply for your Stafford Loan.
