Submit an Application for Admission to Stephens College. Indicate
that you wish to apply for financial aid. Please note scholarship
deadlines.
SEPTEMBER 15 - JANUARY 1
You are encouraged to fill out and submit an Early Financial Aid
Estimator to the Stephens College Office of Financial Aid in order
to receive preliminary financial aid eligibility notification.
DECEMBER 1
Pick up the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through
your high school guidance office or by contacting the Stephens College
Office of Financial Aid.
JANUARY 1 - MARCH 1
Your parent(s) should complete new income tax returns as soon as
possible after January 1. If possible, actual data should be used
for completing the FAFSA. Early filing of the FAFSA is recommended.
Stephens' priority deadline is March 1. You may complete the FAFSA
on-line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Two to four weeks should be
allowed for processing. The Stephens College FAFSA code is 002512.
JANUARY 1 - MARCH 1
Two to four weeks after filing the FAFSA, you will receive your
Student Aid Report (SAR). Review the SAR, make any necessary corrections
and submit directly to the Department of Education.
MARCH 1
Stephens will begin processing financial aid packages, which may
consist of various scholarships, awards, grants, loans and student
employment. You may accept the offer of financial aid in total or
in part, responding by following the directions as noted on your
award letter.
START OF THE FALL AND WINTER SEMESTERS
(AUGUST AND JANUARY)
Financial aid funds are made available at the beginning of each
semester and are available for distribution after this time as soon
as all paperwork is completed and all requirements are met. Generally,
funds are credited to students' accounts.
