Faculty
Stephens professors combine teaching experience with industry expertise as designers, business owners and fashion consultants. Among the faculty are designers who have worked for major manufacturers like I.B. Diffusion, Liz Claiborne, J. Peterman Company and Kathryn Conover; a professor who presents juried fashion designs and research for the International Textile and Apparel Association and the Costume Society of America; one who studied beading and surface design at Lesage in Paris; one who creates fabric design through painting; another who owns a visual merchandising business; and a recent buyer and men's wear planner for a Harold's store in Dallas. Faculty have advanced business and fine arts degrees.
Advisory Board
Composed of global fashion industry executives, Stephens Fashion Advisory Board members provide students with networking opportunities and the development of industry relationships prior to graduation. Advisory board members work in companies like Lane Bryant, Columbus, Ohio; Paris American Academy, Paris; Fratelli Rossetti, N.Y.; and Gear for Sports, Lenexa, Kan.
