Facilities

Barn: The Stephens Equestrian Center has two stable areas. The Saddleseat/Western barn was built in 1939 and the Hunter/Dressage barn was built in 1952. The complex has room for 61 stalls, each of which measures 12'x 12' and has a window.

Rings: There are two riding arenas at Stephens. The indoor ring was built in 1944 and remodeled in 1995. It is 100' x 200' with sand footing. The indoor arena has ample seating for more than 100 spectators to watch lessons, clinics and horse shows. A speaker system is used to help aid instructors and clinicians in their teachings to students. 

The outdoor ring is 110' x 210'. It is comprised of all-weather footing and is lighted for evening lessons. Also outdoors there is a novice-level cross country course that jumps throughout the turnout areas.  

Turnout: There is ample turnout for the horses at Stephens. We have seven grass turnout areas, including four large pastures and three paddocks that are available for everyday use.  

Feeding: Horses are fed three times a day. There is a variety of grain and hay that is provided to best suit the horses' needs. Supplements are given to the horses as needed.
