har∙bin∙ger (här’bĭn-jer)
n.
One that indicates or foreshadows
what is to come; a forerunner.
Stemming from Middle English, the journal title
once meant a person who would travel before to
arrange lodgings. In a gesture of
hospitality, the
women of this year's staff would like to invite you
to pull up a seat and join us for a while. Lose yourself
in the tradition and future promise of the Stephens
College Harbinger.
Within our pages reside works
both curious and quaint, humorous and serious - perhaps even startling. If you
enjoy prose,
poetry, art, or photography, surely you'll find
something here to stir your imagination!
