Schedule of Events:

Friday, Oct. 6:

  • 5:30 p.m., Ragtag Cinemacafé, 23 N. 10th St., downtown Columbia
    Screening of “Paris Is Burning” and Q&A with director Jennie Livingston
    Separate admission required.
  • 8 p.m., Charters Auditorium
    Preview screening of “Neither Here Nor There” and discussion of this work-in-progress with director Kerri Yost, a Stephens College instructor, and other members of Refugee Films.

Saturday, Oct. 7:

  • 10 a.m., Patricia Barry Studio
    High school students workshop about the images of women in the media.
    Led by Barbara Weiner, president of TVbyGIRLS, a Minnesota non-profit project.
  • 1 p.m., Warehouse Theatre
    A panel discussion by five women directors.
  • 3 p.m., Warehouse Theatre
    “Surviving Success in Hollywood” lecture by Stephens alumna Jennifer Farmer, a Hollywood director/independent producer.
  • 7 p.m., Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts, 203 S. Ninth St., downtown Columbia*
    Screening of “Killer Diller” and Q&A with director/Columbia native Tricia Brock.

All Fem Film events except “Paris Is Burning” are FREE to the public.
Unless otherwise noted, all events will be held on the Stephens College campus.

*Please note the screening location has been changed to the Missouri Theatre.
