How to Apply
The first step to study abroad is preparing at home. Below is a useful timeline regarding when you should accomplish certain tasks before traveling overseas. Also provided are the necessary forms Stephens College requires you to fill out prior to studying abroad. If you have any questions regarding the forms or the procedure, talk to the Study Abroad Coordinator, Tina Smith, right away.
Eligibility
- Completed Freshmen Year (24 credit hours)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5or better
- No major judicial infractions
- Currently not on academic probation
Procedure
Year in Advance:
Research Study Abroad Programs
Discuss Plan/Desires with SAPC Coordinator and Academic Advisor
Get a passport
Semester in Advance:
Complete and turn in Stephens College Study Abroad Application and all its parts
Apply for School Abroad
Register for classes
Apply for scholarships
Get necessary documents (visas, etc)
Get necessary medical care or vaccinations
Make travel arrangements
Attend Orientation
While Abroad:
Contact SAPC coordinator if any changes occur in your plans.
Conduct yourself as a Stephens Woman.
Upon Return:
Write testimonial and submit pictures for Study Abroad Website
