The purpose of this union shall be to perpetuate diversity and community to the students of Stephens College through community service and understanding. This union also provides a genuine sisterly and brotherly relationship between the students of Stephens College, the community, and the students of other near and surrounding college campuses. All of this shall be accomplished with an understanding of the beliefs and methods of non-violent social change that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in so strongly.
